Our “Day in the Life of a Costa Rican Village” began with a tour of the Rosales Rodiquez family home and a lesson in making empanadas. We then were entertained by students at the Sonafluca primary school and given a tour of the facilities, including a well-equipped computer room. The children have high aspirations for professions, ranging from teacher to neuroscientist. We enjoyed lunch at the home of Miriam, Victor, and Fabiano.
