Sixteen travelers comprised our Overseas Adventure Travel (OAT) group to the highlands and the central Pacific coast of Costa Rica, March 8 through 20. Led by a knowledgeable and patient guide, Andres Zuñiga, and driven over sometimes curvy roads by our excellent driver, Walter, we toured a coffee plantation (finca); an organic farm; the village of Sonafluca, where we visited two families and danced with children at the primary school; rafted down a swift river, took two slow boat rides on rivers to view wildlife; walked along paths in the rainforest; learned about bats; swam in the Pacific and in hotel (eco-lodge) pools; had a thermal mud bath; and much more. It was a very good trip!
