Castelbuono and Cefalù

May 2016

We visited a Norman castle, in which there was a puppet exhibit as well as an art gallery with a permanent, mostly modern collection. Lunch was a highlight, followed by a tasting of manna, syrup which comes from ash trees and is then whipped into a delicious cream.  Cefalù is a fishing town on a bay beneath a cliff. A Norman cathedral dominates the town, a rather touristy place, but we saw a man sewing lobster nets for the local fishermen.
