A visit to Lisbon is not complete without some time in Sintra. Though we arrived at the opening time for the Pena Palace, there were so many groups that we decided not to wait in line to tour the interior (Dan and I had been there six years ago, though this was the first trip for Noemi and Stefan). Instead we spent our time walking around the exterior and strolling through its extensive gardens.
