Left Bank

  1. Jardin du Luxembourg: We ate lunch of sandwiches from Paul’s, a nearby shop; other days, at a crêperie and a Vienamese restaurant.

  2. Eugène Delacroix studio and home: with an interesting collection of his works

  3. L'Hôtel National des Invalides: including Le musée de l'Armée and Napoleon’s tomb

  4. Musée Rodin: Hôtel Biron and gardens, with sculptures in and out

  5. Jardin des Plantes: botanical collections

  6. L'Institut du Monde Arabe: the museum was closed, but there’s nice view from the terrace on the top floor

  7. The Pantheon: with Foucault’s pendulum and tombs of French intellectuals and scientists, including Pierre and Marie Curie
