Most of the two days we spent at Paradise Inn and on the trails of Mt. Rainier were foggy or rainy, but the clouds did part enough for us to see the top of the mountain while on the Skyline Trail. The clouds didn’t matter on the walk through the Grove of the Patriarchs, but our vista was somewhat limited on the Sunrise Vista trail. This gave us a chance to focus more closely on the shapes of long-ago felled trees.
