We stayed at Anchuca, a lovely, Greek Revival B&B, built in the 1830s, in downtown Vicksburg, walked around the city, and had dinner both nights at 10 South, a rooftop restaurant with a terrific view of the city and river. We took a private riding tour of the battlefield with Morgan Gates, a former history teacher, who is now a licensed guide.
