Reykjavik

September 2016

Reykjavik has pleasant residential neighborhoods near the center of the city. The Hallgrímskirkja Church dominates the skyline; the Harpa Concert Hall reflects the harbor. A sculpture garden is filled with casts by Icelandic native Einar Jónsson. The National Museum of Iceland has a collection about the history of settlement to the modern period, and the Retkjavik Art Museum’s contemporary collection has works by Icelandic artists. The shopping area has cute, small stores, mostly on one street.
