Jekyll Island
Jekyll Island has a long, wide, flat, hard-packed beach, perfect for walking, jogging, or biking. We saw many cannonball jellyfish (Stomolophus meleagris) and other creatures on the beach as we strolled in the afternoon and just after sunrise the next morning. We kayaked on the western creeks and inlets with a guide from the University of Georgia and Jekyll Island 4-H Center.
