The Route to Dambach-la-Ville

September 2017

Leaving Itterswiller, we walked down the hill through vineyards as well as through Nothalten and Blienschwiller, villages we could see from Itterswiller. Climbing to a high route, we ate lunch atop Château Bernstein, one of the oldest in Alsace, its current structures dating from the 13th century, then descended to Dambach-la-Ville. We stayed at the small Hotel le Vignoble, and ate a traditional Alsatian dinner in a bistro, A L’Arbre Vert.
