Nelson’s Dockyard

Once again, we stayed at the Admiral’s Inn, built in 1788, originally used to store pitch, turpentine and lead on the first floor, with offices above. The pillars near the inn supported a boat house, with a sail loft above. The Dockyard, part of a UNESO World Heritage Site, includes restored 18th and 19th century buildings, used today as offices, hotel rooms, cafe, and more.
